With the Make In India campaign, there is an increasing demand for the skilled labour and the pressure will be on the companies to upgrade the existing workforce. To meet this requirement of skill development in the manufacturing and machine tool industry, IMTMA has set up technology centres in Bengaluru, Pune, and Gurugram.
IMTMA has set up Productivity Institute, Finishing School and Design Institute with the aim of filling up the technological gaps. IMTMA has delivered 13344 man-days of training during 2015-16 through 150 short term workshops and long term courses covering Design, Productivity, Quality, Automation, Maintenance and Technology domains.
Along with the regular training programmes IMTMA also conducts seminars periodically at various centres across the country. The association also undertakes customised training programmes for the companies, designed on specific requirements.
The Technology Centre also regularly conducts ASME programmes, programmes recognised by the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, etc.
