IMTMA

Formed in the year when India secured its independence, IMTMA has continuously played a leading role in the development of the machine tool industry, which is the backbone for  industrial growth of India.  This national cause has  been the guiding force behind IMTMA and its membership. 

IMTMA is deeply committed to support its membership to increase competitiveness, enhance efficiency, improve productivity, and ensure growth and prosperity. It does so with the aim to assist the membership to become cost effective, technology driven, and ever responsive to customers’ changing needs. At the same time, IMTMA has supported the user industries with better and more modern technology of machine tools to provide them with competitive manufacturing solutions.

IMTMA is today recognized as the sole voice of the Indian machine tool industry – it is the face of the industry to the government, to its members, suppliers and users. Its membership of around 475 constitutes a major part of this strategic sector in the country.

> Investment Meet
  An interactive session between the CEOs of leading machine tool companies and Mr. Murugesh Nirani, Honourable Minister of Large and Medium Industries – Government of Karnataka, M Maheshwar Rao, IAS, Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director of Industries & Commerce along with IMTMA Members was held in the context of the upcoming Global Investors' Meet to address the needs of the industry and the role of the government.
   
> IMTEX Forming 2012 Inauguration
 
IMTMA organised a press conference on 3 January 2012 to announce the 2nd edition of IMTEX FORMING 2012 and Tooltech 2012 - a highly acclaimed platform for showcasing Forming Manufacturing Technologies, scheduled from 19th - 24th January 2012. This 6-day expo will be held at IMTMA’s own state-of-the-art exhibition facility – Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).
The press conference was chaired by IMTMA President Mr. Vikram Sirur, IMTEX Media Chairman Mr. Shailesh Sheth and IMTMA Executive Director Mr. V. Anbu. 
Representatives of the leading publications attended the conference which received huge coverage in most of the news dailies on the following day.

IMTMA celebrates 43rd year of IMTEX and inaugurated IMTEX FORMING 2012 and Tooltech 2012, with an extravagant inaugural ceremony in the midst of several celebrated industry professionals who graced the occasion with their presence. The six-day forming exhibition starting from 19th January 2012 at BIEC in Bangalore was inaugurated by Dr. K Kasturirangan, Member of Planning Commission - Government of India; Mr. Jamshyd N. Godrej, Chairman Exhibitions and Mr. Vikram Sirur, President – IMTMA.

Meeting with Government
