Today, manufacturing is becoming highly automated and IT-enabled. The developments in the sphere of Automation are witnessing rapid strides in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and control solutions. For Indian manufacturing companies to be globally competitive, it is imperative that they digitally transform their operations to enhance productivity and reliability, improve quality, reduce costs and effectively manage the complexities of varying business cycles.
To understand and address the real-time application and benefits of Automation, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organizing a "Symposium on Appropriate Automation in Indian Context", on 23 November 2018 in Pune.
This symposium is a combination of plant visits, technical presentations, application case studies, interactive sessions and panel discussion.
Technical tours to delegates will be organised a day before the symposium, which provides a unique opportunity to witness how automation projects are being implemented and translated into action. Leading manufacturing companies open their doors to participants on 22 November to showcase Automation / Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing projects on their shop floor.
Industry experts from renowned companies Viz. Robert Bosch Engg. & Business Solutions, Ace Micromatic MIT, Fanuc India, Festo, Grind Master Machines, Pepperl + Fuchs, Schuler India, Titan Engg. & Automation, Schunk Intec and Universal Robots, amongst others.
Panel discussions will address various aspects of automation relevant to Indian context ; Technology gaps and Considerations, Cost implications, Scalability etc., and draw up a Road map for successful adoption of automation.
