Industry – Academia R&D linkage

Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) has been in the forefront of bonding Industry-Academia linkage and is continuously taking several initiatives and offering a platform for Indian Academia institutions to participate in its prestigious IMTEX – Indian Machine Tool Exhibitions every year. At IMTEX 2014, IMTMA provides an opportunity for Indian Academic / R&D Institutions to show case their R&D capabilities in Metal working field. This participation will be through display of two posters from each institution. IMTMA has reserved the display space which will be provided to the selected institution/s free of charge.

About IMTEX 2014

IMTEX 2014 – the Machine Tool Exhibition with International Participation will be held from 24-30 January 2014 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bangalore, India. IMTEX series are the largestexhibitions of metal-cutting and metal-forming machine tools and manufacturing solutions in south and South-Ease Asia. IMTEX 2014 will show case the exhaustive range of innovations and technological refinements in the complete segment of metal-forming machine tools (To learn more about this event visit www.imtex.in)

About IMTMA

Constituted in the year 1946 for promotional support, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) plays a key role in the growth and development of the Machine Tool Industry. IMTMA is the apex body of the machine tool industry in India and has a membership of about 470 companies that are manufacturing a wide range of metal cutting and metal forming machines, accessories, cutting tools and allied equipment. The association, over the years, has transformed itself to focus on issues of productivity, quality, technology, customer satisfaction etc. to enhance the competitiveness of the industry in both domestic and overseas markets.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

  • Institutions wanting to highlight their technologies, services and other activities that can
    be offered to industry in specific areas.
  • R&D and Educational institutions wanting to identify the industry needs.
  • Staff and students of the institutions to see the best practices in metalworking first hand.
  • Staff and Professionals wanting to interact with experts.
  • Institutions wishing industry to pickup their product/technology for commercial exploitation.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

  • Participation will be FREE OF COST
  • Participation strictly on “First - Come - First - Serve basis”
  • Through DISPLAY OF TWO POSTERS (Max) from each institution
  • Maximum 30 Institutions are allowed to participate
    Step1 Fill up the Reply Form and send it to IMTMA on or before 31st December, 2013
    Step2 Receive confirmation of participation from IMTMA
    Step3 Prepare and send display materials as per IMTMA guidelines
    Step4 Each institute to nominate one/ two officer/s to IMTEX to be present during the show to explain the institution's capabilities and receive requests for services from industries

IMTMA WILL -

  • Offer Free space at IMTEX 2014 for the display of posters.
  • Prepare the posters to maintain the standard size, specifications and uniformity of display.
  • Posters will be of size 30 in. x 40 in. (approximately 900 x 1200 mm)
  • Bear the expenses of lodging, boarding and local transport for outstation representative
    (one person). Only to & fro traveling costs are to be borne by the institutions.
  • Prepare a separate catalogue of participating institutions for distribution to the industry.

Best displays will be awarded “CASH PRIZES”
