From IMTMA DeskIndian machine tool industry has been resilient to the internal and external disruptions. The industry currently occupies 8th position in consumption and 11th in production, globally, as per Gardner’s World Machine Tool Survey 2021. Indian machine tool market domestic share is estimated to have crossed 50% for FY 2021-22. Demand is likely to surge from a cross-section of industry verticals across numerous categories of machine tools and despite the global scenario India has continued to increase its exports. The industry is all set to consolidate its position in the North American region as IMTS, organized by AMT, unfolds at McCormick Place, Chicago from 12 - 17 September 2022. It will have an adequate representation with 28 companies including 10 IMTMA member companies. Indian companies participating in the exhibition are all geared up to present their machines, aggregates, capabilities and solutions to explore and expand avenues in North America and the global market. Meanwhile at home, IMTMA is going full steam with its flagship IMTEX & Tooltech 2023 along with Digital Manufacturing. The exhibition will be held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from 19 - 25 January 2023. The exhibition which is coming back after a gap of 4 years is generating lots of enthusiasm from the entire machine tool and manufacturing fraternity. IMTEX 2023 is being held in an area of more than 60,000 square metres. Leading Indian and global machine tool companies from Austria, Australia, China, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Slovania, Spain, Switzerland, UK and USA have confirmed their participation.
