The rapid growth of Indian machine tool industry and the increasing sophistication of machine tool has created the need for a new breed of machine tool technologists. To meet the industry's need for trained engineers in this specialized field and to create a talent pool that can be tapped, the IMTMA DESIGN INSTITUTE has been established at Bangalore. The Institute under the aegis of the IMTMA Design Foundation has been sponsored by Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association and actively promoted be leading machine tool manufacturers.
The Institute
IMTMA Design Institute has been conceived as a hi-tech training centre for machine tool industry. The Institute focuses on providing intensive training in all aspects of machine tool designing and technology to engineers from the industry. Equipped with the latest in design infrastructure, the institute enables participants to strengthen their knowledge in machine tool technology. The latest design practices are imbibed by the participants who have the opportunity to utilize high powered CAD workstations and widely used design & analysis software.
IMTMA Design Institute has been conducting technology related programs and the Industry as well as the participants have greatly benefited from these programs. The Institute’s training programs have been structured to provide participants with in-depth knowledge of machine tool theory and technology. These are complemented by hands-on group project work that emphasize the development of practical design skills, also involve group discussions during the programs on salient aspects of the technology. The courses incorporate visit to Industries.
The courseware for the training programs have been designed by a team that has vast machine tool experience and a thorough understanding of industry needs. Utilizing proven training methodology the course takes participants from the fundamentals to intricacies of machine tool technology. From conceptualisation to completion, the course covers every component of the process including management, finance & cost analysis to produce thoroughbred machine tool technologists.
The faculties of training programs consist of industry experts and subject specialists in various topics of the machine tool technology and theoretical specialists from leading institutions, an interactive learning process is adopted to enable participants to build the knowledge base on a solid theoretical background.
